Maybe you are brighter than me...but I had to ask our good ole pal "wiki" about the origin of this oh so popular poster.
"Keep Calm and Carry On was a propaganda poster produced by the British Government
in 1939
during the beginning of WWII, but never used. It was rediscovered in 2000 and has been re-issued by a number of private sector companies, and used as the decorative theme for a range of other products."
Even though Target, Barnes and Noble and many more have taken it to the extreme with mass postcards and other paper products, I still find comfort in its simplicity and true meaning.
