Worry Warts

I don't know about you, but I come from a long line of worry warts. I think it goes back to my great-great-great-great-grandmother. My mother, sister, and I (the two of them more so than me) tend to over-dramatize things and find ourselves constantly worrying. When you sit down and think about it, worrying does absolutely nothing but only makes your situation feel worse. Instead when we find ourselves worrying we should turn to God and put our fears and concerns in his hands. I know I know...much easier said than done, but I truly believe that if we turn to God in times of trouble instead of over-reacting, we can find the good out of any situation. I need to remind myself this everyday and remember to "take one moment at a time" because at this very moment I am OK!
“So don’t be anxious about tomorrow. God will take care of your tomorrow too. Live one day at a time” (Matthew 6:34 LB).

  1. I love love love that Bible verse. And, I worry too. I think its my way of "controlling" the situation ... even though my worrying only controls me! Ugh, the irony. Anyhoo, I heart you pretty girl!!! Xoxo-BLC
